The survey revealed dissatisfaction with the current FTM, a desire for greater representation, and openness to alternatives. Key themes included the need for improved participation, more effective communication of information, and the potential for virtual participation. The CRC reached consensus on conceptual elements for a new budget approval structure, including separating the FTM's functions (budget hearing, amendment mechanism, voting), retaining the Committee on Assessment (COA) in some form, and electing COA members in a nonpartisan election. The CRC will continue discussions at its next meeting.
