The board meeting addressed several key regulatory and administrative items. Decisions included the denial of applications for rehearing related to Crossroads Solar LLC and the approval of a certificate of environmental compatibility and public need to AEP Ohio Transmission Company for a transmission line rebuild project. Furthermore, the board adopted proposed amendments to the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4906 and granted an 18-month extension for a certificate held by CPV Oregon.

The commission addressed various utility cases, including directives for delinquent fiscal assessments, denial of applications for rehearing, and the approval of certification renewals and corporate separation plan amendments. Additionally, the commission adopted new rules for utility funding mechanisms, resolved complaints, authorized audit services, approved tariff withdrawals, and authorized transportation service agreements. The meeting also included an update on a merger and the issuance of orders regarding transportation regulation violations. The Commission also established comment periods for rule amendments, reallocated electric certified territories, accepted results from a competitive generation supply auction, and approved amendments to pipeline tariffs. Transportation-related items involved the enforcement of regulations, approval of settlement agreements, and authorizations for railway safety projects, including exemptions for grade crossings.
