This document outlines the Woodcliff Lake Schools' Mission and Vision, emphasizing the inherent potential of every student and the collective responsibility of the district, schools, teachers, families, and community in nurturing learning. The plan aims to equip students with the abilities to think independently, analyze information, problem-solve, innovate, act with social responsibility, and develop empathy and compassion through engaging curriculum and thoughtful instruction. The ultimate goal is to prepare students to adapt, thrive, and make positive contributions to society.

The Board agenda included discussions on healthcare cost relief from the State of NJ, affirmation of a Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying report, approval of the Superintendent's evaluation, and several personnel actions including resignations and new hires. The meeting addressed educational support services, including professional development, CST summer meetings, special education evaluations, and out-of-district placements. Business and financial agenda items covered the approval of a fire sprinkler installation proposal, certification of district expenditures, board secretary and treasurer reports, budget transfers, and disbursement approvals. The board also planned to convene an executive session to discuss a legal matter.

The meeting focused on organizational resolutions for the upcoming school year, including the approval of the budget, adoption of policies, and appointments for various professional service roles such as Board Attorney, Auditor, and Architect. Personnel matters were a significant agenda item, involving the reappointment of teachers, administrators, and office staff, as well as the consideration of new hires, resignations, and maternity leave. Additionally, the Board addressed special education placements, shared services agreements, and the review of HIB self-assessment grades. Financial agenda items included the approval of district taxes and monthly disbursements, alongside a planned executive session to discuss personnel matters.

The Board adopted the tentative 2026-2027 budget and approved the purchase of chromebooks, school bus evacuation drill reports, and the second reading of various policies and regulations. Personnel actions included the approval of professional development for staff, various leaves of absence, and the acceptance of staff resignations. Business and financial matters included the approval of purchase orders, expenditure and transfer reports, Board Secretary and Treasurer reports, budget transfers, and disbursements.

The Board addressed several resolutions and new business items. Key discussions included approving the first reading of Policies & Regulations and accepting the District's waiver of compliance request for the Special Education Medicaid Initiative Program. Personnel actions involved ratifying and reaffirming a medical leave and approving a leave replacement teacher hire, alongside approving spring umpire fees. In financial matters, the Board approved Purchase Orders for January 2026, certified District expenditures for January 2026, approved Transfer Reports and Budget Transfers for January 2026, and approved disbursements for January and February 2026. They also approved updated independent contractor lists for the 2025-2026 school year and approved evaluations for WCL students.
