The committee reviewed abuse/neglect reports (2 cases) and complaints (3 cases, all resolved informally) for the period of January 1 to March 31, 2013. Updates were provided on a successful Mental Health Awareness event, the "Going the Extra Mile" award presented to the facility director, and a Barriers to Discharge Report (8 patients). A review of seclusion/restraint data (January 1 to March 31, 2013) was presented, including analysis of multiple incidents and restraint episodes. The Regional Advocate reported on a new automated system for Human Rights reporting and upcoming video presentations.
