A resolution was passed to increase the sales tax by one-half of one percent for ten years, commencing October 1, 2026, to fund the construction, acquisition, equipping, or repairing of a detention facility, to be submitted to electors on May 5, 2026. Following an executive session concerning personnel matters, Joel A. Smith was appointed Interim Chief Administrative Officer at an annual rate of $120,000.00 with four weeks of paid vacation.
