The board will consider various property variance requests from multiple petitioners and conduct hearings on the abatement of nuisances for properties identified on the agenda.

The board approved new bylaws and conducted elections for officers including Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Secretary/Treasurer positions. A presentation was held regarding the Lakeside City Center Corridor Improvement Authority Tax Increment Financing and Development Plan, which aims to create a cohesive mixed-use district and facilitate redevelopment at the Lakeside Mall site through public property development, infrastructure improvements, and mobility projects. The board discussed the use of incremental tax revenue and recommended reconvening at a later date for a formal vote on the plan adoption.

The commission reviewed and approved the Police Lieutenant List. Additionally, the Human Resources department provided information regarding the next commission meeting for the Police Officer Eligibility List and discussed plans for creating a Captain's List, including an assessment of upcoming retirements and staffing changes within the Police Department.

The board conducted a review of a movie event, analyzing feedback through a plus/delta assessment. Additionally, the members discussed plans for future activities, specifically an outdoor movie night, an ice rink event, and the organization's booth at Sterlingfest.

The meeting agenda focuses on local history and archives reporting, along with various unfinished business items including the historical marker program, Upton House tours, historical displays, commission activity management, and fundraising activities such as flower sales and note card initiatives. Additionally, the commission plans to discuss America 250 preparations, housekeeping tasks, as well as new business items regarding accessions and Sterlingfest participation.
