The strategic plan is designed to engage people in meaningful arts experiences, grow Missouri's economy using the arts, and strengthen Missouri education through the arts. It focuses on communicating the impact of the arts, supporting arts experiences, increasing the strength and growth of the arts, and increasing services to underserved communities. The plan also aims to encourage the development of arts professionals and creative industries, support communities' growth using the arts, promote Missouri as an arts destination, strengthen the position and impact of fine arts specialists, improve student achievement through arts integration, develop teaching artists' skills and opportunities, and support the development of quality community arts education.
