The board discussed the postponement of a storytelling event due to scheduling conflicts with performers, now targeting a mid-September date. A potential community service project for Girl Scout Troop 27124 was reviewed, with options including maintenance of a sculpture garden, work on a green roof, or the installation of a butterfly garden in Lenape Park. Planting plans were addressed, covering the installation of new floral baskets on Bridge Street and other town locations, coordination of plant inventory, and the placement of succulents at the Visitors' Center. Additionally, the board discussed relocating large urns on South Main Street to the green roof and brainstormed future initiatives to engage locals during the week.

The board conducted formal reviews for several property improvement projects, including exterior painting at 66 West Bridge Street, fence installation at 84 Buttonwood, and structural demolition, preservation, and new construction work at 8 and 10 Waterloo Street. Additionally, the board reviewed agent applications for sign installations at 87 South Main, 110 South Main, 92 South Main, and 142 South Main, as well as a single gate installation at 36 West Mechanic Street.

The Council meeting addressed several agenda items, including the resignation of a police officer, the consideration and approval of an installation and maintenance agreement for street art, and certificates of appropriateness for various local property improvements. Additionally, the Council discussed and approved special event permits for a three-day celebration of the town's history, covering logistics such as fireworks, drone displays, stage performances, a pub crawl, and parade. Discussions included traffic management, shuttle services, noise control, and public safety coordination with the fire department, alongside deliberations on waiving associated permit and police service fees for these events.

The Commission reviewed a proposed amendment to the Borough Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO), with members providing general support and recommendations for revisions regarding Sketch Plan review procedures. Additionally, the meeting covered coordination efforts for the Emergency Preparedness Plan, progress on RFPs for traffic and parking studies, and the introduction of new topics for future consideration, specifically the potential use of Neighborhood Electric Vehicles and Low-Speed Vehicles, as well as solar energy considerations.

The meeting will focus on establishing the committee's vision and objectives, discussing potential committee names, and determining an alternate date for the subsequent monthly meeting. The agenda also includes a session for public comment.
