The budget for Warsaw CUSD 316 in Hancock County, Illinois, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, was prepared in tentative form and made available for public inspection. A public hearing was held on September 30, 2025, after giving notice as required by law. The budget includes estimates of amounts available in each fund and expenditures from each fund. The budget was adopted by the Board of Education with a roll call vote.
The Board of Education meeting will include an update from Johnson Controls, discussion and approval of the 2025-2026 Guidance Handbook, approval to release closed minutes and destruction of audio tapes, discussion of school property insurance, discussion of Superintendent Evaluation, discussion of Policy Plus Issues 116 & 117, approval of funds moved into CDs, and action to purchase a scissor manlift. An executive session will address personnel matters, review of closed meeting minutes, and litigation. The personnel report will also be considered and acted upon.
The Board of Education meeting will include public comments, adoption of the agenda, and consideration and action on the 2024 Tax Levy and the One Cent Sales Tax. Administration reports will be presented, and future meeting dates will be discussed.
The board meeting included discussion and action on the 2024 Tax Levy, ultimately adopting a rate of 13%. A resolution for the One Cent Sales Tax was also approved. The meeting also set the date for the next regular board meeting.
