The plan is structured around four key goals: ensuring student academic success in all content areas, promoting regular and consistent pupil engagement with curricular and extracurricular activities, fostering a safe and supportive school climate for students and parents, and providing access to high-quality staff and facilities that promote intellectual growth and well-being. It emphasizes wise resource utilization, a high-quality educational experience, and addresses disparities in academic performance, attendance, and suspensions among student groups.

The board discussed anticipated litigation and received updates on the LPTA MOU regarding the COVID-19 agreement. There was correspondence regarding a book reading in a classroom, support for teachers and administration, and concerns about the ongoing school closure and its effects on children, families, and the community. Public comments addressed fairness and integrity, actions over a walkout in 2018, and the district's plan for reopening CT English in January.
