The meeting focused on key administrative and operational items, including a review of the current budget and expenditures. Discussions and potential motions were scheduled regarding the 2026 IRA Tree Planting Grant application, the approval of the 2026 tree and stump removal list, and the selection of an Arborist.

The board reviewed budget and expenses, discussed a long-standing tree complaint at 217 N. Olive Street, and approved sending a letter for priority removals. Potential grant funding sources were explored, including Trees Forever, DNR, and Derecho. The board decided to re-bid spring tree removals, adjusting the list of trees for removal. New business included the purchase of a new fuel tracking system, transfer of unpaid nuisance abatement costs to property taxes, approval of bids for individual sidewalk repair work, and consideration of a letter of support for the Iowa Finance Authority's Thriving Communities Program to encourage residential development.
