The 2025-2026 Continuous Improvement Plan for Roosevelt Elementary School is centered around providing students with learning experiences that develop the skills necessary to be productive citizens, ready for college, a career, and life. Key areas of focus include personalized learning opportunities, maintaining a comprehensive MTSS system for ELA, math, and SEL, and supporting a robust PLC process for educators and instruction. The plan also involves updating essential learning and proficiency scales to match updated state standards, monitoring and adjusting the assessment system, and focusing professional learning on Tier 1 reteaching/intervention opportunities.

The agenda includes the installation of newly elected and appointed board members, followed by nominations for Board Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. The meeting will cover proposed school board member committee assignments for 2025-2026, the NDSBA Annual Convention, and the DPI School Board Member Bootcamp. Other items include designating the official newspaper of the MPSD, appointing a District Business Manager, authorizing the Business Manager and Superintendent to invest school district funds, and approving building principals as authorized representatives for the School Immunization Law. Policies on personal electronic communication and patriotic exercises were reviewed for the first reading. The board approved the release of a welding teacher from his contract and approved a new hire for 8th Grade ELA. Changes to various school handbooks were also approved. The board also reviewed and considered approval of a letter of support for a 10-year extension of the Renaissance Zone Program and Teaching Contract. The board also reviewed and considered approval of the Audit Engagement Letter and Open Enrollment Application seking a Deadline Waiver. The board also reviewed and considered approval of FY26 Preliminary Budget.
