The Board of Supervisors held a public hearing for the Iowa County FY27 Budget. Following the hearing, the Board reviewed and officially passed, adopted, and approved Resolution 2026-04-29 for the Iowa County FY27 Proposed Budget, covering the fiscal year from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

The Board of Supervisors addressed several administrative and operational items, including the approval of liquor license amendments for Koru Berry Farms Special Events, LLC and Maverik Group, LLC, and the issuance of a tobacco permit for the 2027 fiscal year. Road closure approval was granted for the 2026 Oktoberfest parade. The Board formally withdrew prior authority granted to the Health Department regarding the expenditure of opioid funds, requiring explicit board approval for future use. The meeting also included departmental updates from the County Engineer and the Transportation Director, as well as a discussion regarding a trail crossing for the Marengo Trail expansion project.

The board received updates from the County Engineer and the Building Maintenance department. Key actions included the approval of final payment for a road project and the adoption of a resolution authorizing weight embargoes on secondary roads due to weather conditions. Additionally, the board approved liquor licenses, a seasonal road closure request for Millstream Brewing Co., and a formal letter to opt-out of CSN starting in FY27. The board conducted a public hearing regarding proposed property taxation, during which public comments were received and reviewed.

The Board of Supervisors received the quarterly report from the County Recorder and a Manure Management Plan. A public hearing was conducted and a resolution passed for the vacation of unused right-of-way. The board also approved the department budget amendments and the Five-Year Plan for the Department of Transportation. Additional actions included authorizing bridge load limit revisions, approving engineering consulting services, and receiving department updates from the County Engineer, Ambulance Director, and Building Maintenance. Finally, the board rescinded a healthcare policy and updated the privacy policy to align with federal HIPAA revisions.
