The Council approved the reappointments of Brian Harnak, Ken Knodel, and Tom Schmidt to the Twinsburg Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council. The reappointments confirm three separate terms for the appointees beginning in October 2011.

The Council confirmed the reappointments of Ms. Rose Juriga and Ms. Dawn Jones, and the appointment of Ms. Stephanie Turner to the ADM Board. Each of the appointed members will serve without compensation for a term beginning January 1, 2012, and ending June 30, 2015.

The Human Resource Commission convened to evaluate and adopt a revised Classification Specification for the Employment Services Counselor role, a request initiated by the Executive Department of Job and Family Services. After reviewing the proposed specifications and hearing relevant testimony, the commission formally approved the adoption of the revised classification, specifically categorized as Category 2, Grade 4, Class Code 25021.

The Council of the County of Summit confirmed the reappointments of six individuals to the Social Services Advisory Board. Each reappointment is for a term beginning on October 1, 2011, and ending on September 30, 2014, with all positions serving without compensation.

The Council formally established the membership and chairs for its standing committees for the year 2011, encompassing committees on Health and Human Services, Planning and Economic Development, Finance, Public Safety, Long-Term Planning, Public Works, Personnel, and Rules.
