The meeting addressed several financial and administrative matters. The commission approved a list of vouchers for payment covering various vendors and services, including a large payroll payment. Several cash transfers were executed between different funds, such as Submarginal Rents, Submarginal Roads, Road & Bridge, Interest and Investment, and the General Fund. Budget adjustments were made, involving decreases to the Sheriff's budget and increases to the Treasurer's, Elections, Technology, Submarginal Roads, Submarginal Rents, Emergency Management, and E911 budgets, funded partly by cash on hand. Furthermore, Commissioner Ouradnik was unanimously elected as Chairman for the year 2026. A commissioner presented historical work done on townships without federal land, and it was noted that NDSU will advertise the extension job in Slope County.

Discussions were held regarding the closure of the courthouse for the Christmas holiday and policy concerning gravel sales to Slope County residents.
