This report summarizes the first-year accomplishments of the affiliation between the University at Albany and Albany Law School, established by a Master Service Agreement in October 2015. The partnership aims to leverage complementary capacities, deepen relationships, develop new academic programs, foster collaborative research, secure grant funding, and cultivate cross-disciplinary learning to recruit and retain students. Key initiatives include establishing an undergraduate law course, facilitating cross-registration, enhancing research awareness, creating a collaboration venture fund, developing collaborative degree programs, and revitalizing the 3+3 program. The plan seeks to increase enrollment, strengthen regional economic development, and facilitate international student recruitment for both institutions.
