The 2021-2025 Strategic Plan for the Town of Mount Pleasant focuses on three key areas: protecting neighborhoods and community systems, strengthening operational capacity, and refining and expanding operational capabilities. The plan aims to improve infrastructure resilience, enhance neighborhood livability, improve mobility, and strengthen community engagement. Operationally, the plan addresses employee recruitment, retention, and training, IT infrastructure improvements, cybersecurity, and the development of a continuity of operations plan. It also emphasizes process improvements, data management, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance efficiency and service delivery. The plan's vision is to be the place citizens want to be—a community that thinks big and feels small; an accepting, unique, livable, and vibrant town.
