The Governing Board met to review the proposed budget for the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year. During the session, the Board members examined the drafted budget documentation, which utilized the previous year's budget forms as a template due to the unavailability of current distribution forms. No final decisions or formal approvals were made regarding the budget at this time.

The board meeting agenda covered a range of organizational and financial items. Program reviews included a discussion on the reorganization of the Governing Board, an evaluation of the teacher assessment instrument, a presentation of the Statement of Assurances, and discussions concerning visitations and meeting documentation procedures as requested by the Arizona Charter Board. Financial agenda items addressed federal emergency relief funds for schools, aid and mitigation for COVID-19 impacts, ratification of fence repair expenditures, and a request for funding for parking lot repairs.

The meeting agenda focused on program reviews, specifically the Statement of Assurances, instructional procedures and progression by staff, and precautionary methods implemented by administrators. Financial items included a review of the 2019-2020 annual financial report and current attendance data for the Accelerated Learning Center.

The governing board reviewed and discussed the proposed budget for the 2022-2023 academic year, ultimately voting to formally adopt the budget for the organization.

The board meeting primarily focused on the review and approval of the proposed FY 2024 Expenditure Budget. Discussions included an update on teacher salaries, which saw a 4.6% increase, and an overall 5% increase in the total budget. Other agenda items included a call to the public and miscellaneous business.
