The meeting included department updates from Career & Technical Education, Early Childhood, Instructional Services, Special Education, R.O.O.C., Inc., and K12 ETA. The board updated Policy 4113, ESTA, and the related form, 4113-F, approved the 24-25 Special Education Budget Amendment, and approved a contract with Schools OPEN, LLC. They also accepted bid proposals from Integrity Construction for the COOR Educational Center renovation. Information items included Social Media Reports for COOR ISD and CATIC, and discussion of the MASB Spring Institute. The Superintendent's Report covered the RFP bid process for the CEC Construction Project, Board Book Login Discussion, the Governor's State of the State Address, and Title IX updates.

The strategic plan for C.O.O.R. Intermediate School District focuses on enhancing programs and services to improve achievement, developing a communication plan to engage stakeholders, improving relationships with community partners, and implementing a resource plan to expand programs and services. It also includes developing a recruitment and retention plan for all staff, with the mission to deliver expert services, impactful programs, and responsive leadership to schools and communities, and the vision to be leaders in education, innovation, and collaboration.

The board approved an increase to the Educational Technology Association fees to cover growing network and server responsibilities and staffing. They also approved a property split for separate addresses for the leased football field and soccer field and updated the title for Supervisor of Early Childhood to Director of Early Childhood. The superintendent reported on the social media reach and discussed the state and federal budgets, board policy work, and a walk-through of the CEC construction project. Superintendent Petri identified his top 3 goals as starting a Bi-Annual Legislative Meeting, communicating and launching Strategic Plan & meet with COOR team to discuss progress and holding student input lunches at COOR & Local Districts

The meeting included a roll call to establish a quorum, a review of the 2025-2028 Triennial assessment, and discussion of goals for measurable data collection. Assignments of responsibilities were reviewed with committee members, along with plans to accommodate measurable data collection for each goal. The committee will meet three times annually to present collected data, which will be condensed into an annual report. There was also discussion of the known variables of the upcoming school year pertaining to the wellness committee and program, and the final triennial assessment will be presented as soon as possible for compliance with policy.

The meeting included a public budget hearing on the proposed General Fund Budget for 2025-26, with discussions on tax revenue rates. The board approved the 2025 L-4029 forms, accepted the proposed 2025-26 General Fund Budget, and reviewed department updates from Career & Technical Education, Early Childhood, Instructional Services, Special Education, R.O.O.C., Inc., and K12 ETA. The board also accepted preliminary budgets for Special Education and Career & Technical Education, approved the Superintendent's Performance Evaluation for 2025, approved a contract with the Superintendent, ratified new hires, and approved Grayling Rotary's use of the lawn for a bike race water stop. Information items included the May Social Media Report, the Lyle Spalding Award recipient, and updates on the MASB Summer Institute and online classes.
