The council approved bills for December 1966 and appointed officials for 1967, including the chief of police, assistant chief of police, fire marshal, assistant fire marshal, health officer, city attorney, city secretary, and mayor pro tem. A proposal from the Texas Highway Department regarding new signal lights at the intersection of Hwy #75 and Hwy #84 was discussed and accepted.
