Key strategic areas include guiding residential development to complement rural aesthetics, protecting agricultural operations and natural resources through conservation initiatives, fostering small-scale local economic development, expanding recreational opportunities and connectivity, maintaining efficient community facilities, preserving scenic corridors, and establishing clear guidelines for renewable energy installation. The plan aims to balance growth with conservation efforts to ensure a strong, resilient, and connected community for future generations.

The board discussed and adopted Resolution No. 26-04, which authorizes the application to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund to support the construction of the second segment of the Watkins Lake Trail.

The meeting was held to consider a request from The Men's Club regarding the 2026 annual River Raisin canoe race, which was subsequently approved.
