The Village of Arlington Heights presents its first Sustainability Plan, designed to chart a path for short and long-term goals and strategies. Focusing on municipal activities and facilities, the plan addresses key areas including Energy, Land, Mobility, Community, Municipal Operations, Waste & Recycling, and Water. It builds on past achievements and regional frameworks, aiming to improve residents' quality of life and create a more resilient future by aligning with state and regional priorities.

The board approved a warrant register for accounts payable and processed a consent agenda including various resolutions for municipal operations, such as security fencing at water facilities, software service agreements for water infrastructure, and GIS support services. Significant discussion occurred regarding an ordinance to exempt school and park districts from the Cook County Paid Leave Ordinance, which the Board ultimately approved. Additionally, reports were provided regarding local water quality, the investigation into a garbage truck fire incident, and the introduction of the new Planning and Community Development Director.

The Village Board held a special meeting to conduct 2025 goal setting for the upcoming two-year strategic cycle.
