The commission also reviewed a report regarding the potential impact of Assembly Bill 453 and Senate Bill 480 on local zoning, planning, and tax incremental districts.

The commission held a public hearing regarding a petition from the Grant Regional Health Center to rezone a property located at 507 S. Monroe Street from C-1 General Business to C-2 Central Business to accommodate a proposed loading dock canopy and existing building elements. Following the hearing and a review of the rezoning application, the commission voted unanimously to approve the request.

The Commission held a public hearing regarding a rezoning petition by Aptiv Inc. to amend an existing Planned Unit Development for property at 1500 Industrial Park Road, noting that previous planned additions are no longer intended. Additionally, the Commission discussed a request from a citizen to purchase five acres of city-owned land along Highway K. Due to a lack of precise boundary information and the need for further input from the Parks and Recreation Committee, the Commission decided to conduct a site visit to evaluate potential boundaries before continuing the discussion at a future meeting.
