The Board of Trustees convened to discuss various topics including the President's report, division highlights from Academic Affairs, Administration & Finance, Student Affairs & Enrollment Management, Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement, and Human Resources. The board also reviewed the Foundation Board report, Student Trustee report, Alumni Trustee report, and subcommittee reports from the Finance Committee, Student Success Committee, Governance and Nominating Executive, and Executive Committee. The board approved President Kennedy's evaluation for the 2024-2025 Academic Year and authorized allowable increases for presidents as determined by the Board of Higher Education. Additionally, the board approved personnel actions and the delegation of Board Authority to President Ellen Kennedy until the first formal Board meeting on August 26, 2025.

An overview of the BCC Foundation was presented, highlighting its fundraising activities and management of assets for scholarships and special projects. The Finance Committee reviewed the FY26 preliminary budget, focusing on projected revenue increases, cost control, and a proposed student fee increase. Personnel actions were also reviewed and approved.

It focuses on enhancing the campus climate through connection, recognition, and the promotion of cultural humility. The plan includes strategies to strengthen communication, trust, and transparency, advance equity, and establish a community of care through various initiatives and programs.
