The meeting included discussions and actions on several key areas. Updates were provided on grants such as AMLER 2022, Clean Ohio 2022 and 2025, Connecting Black Heritage, and ATIIP Planning and Design. A proposal from TSHD Architects for restroom construction specifications was accepted. The board discussed safety requirements for special use permits and the development of a facility use contract or MOU. Concerns were raised regarding the Vinton County Convention and Visitors Bureau's Midnight at Moonville event, with a follow-up planned to ensure public safety. The Vinton County Park District Board of Commissioners convened to discuss various topics including a youth fishing tournament at Lake Alma, updates on the McArthur Brick Co. Historic Preserve/Park District HQ, and the Shea-Williams Nature Preserve. The board also addressed the ongoing issue of off-road motorized vehicles near the Mineral area of the Moonville Rail Trail and the potential need for a gate. Grant updates were provided for projects such as AMLER 2022, ARC READY 2024, Clean Ohio 2022, POWER TA, ATIIP Planning and Design, and several capital budget items. Additionally, a watercraft grant application and a Clean Ohio 2025 application were discussed.

The board discussed the AMLER grant for the Hotel McArthur and authorized the creation of removable metal signs for vehicles accessing the trail.
