The meeting included presentations from Women Veterans Program Managers, Military Sexual Trauma Specialists, Veterans Service Organizations, State Women Veterans Coordinators, and Veterans Education Specialists. The committee discussed identifying items for the interim budget report that may require funding and planning events for Women Veterans Programs in Northern, Southern, and Rural areas in Nevada. The committee also selected an upcoming meeting date.

The committee discussed a water rights study, exploring the option of using surface water instead of the city's potable water for irrigation. They also discussed the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery report, including interments, the expansion project, and the paver walkway. An update on VA marker research was provided, and the committee discussed the challenges of filling the Cemetery Superintendent position. The budget for legislative was reviewed, including the Northern Nevada Home. The Nevada Veterans Advocate Program was also discussed. The committee addressed the water bill discussion and the possibility of the water being shut off again. The Northern Nevada Veterans Home was discussed, as well as Wreaths Across America. Concerns were raised about the department's back-up plan for employees and staffing shortages. The Trooper Memorial application was reviewed and endorsed.

The meeting included a legislative update on the Governor's four veterans bills for the 78th Legislative Session, derived from the Comprehensive Veterans Legislative Reform Report (VLRR). There was also an ICVA Strategic Planning Update, with members receiving a strategic planning document to assist in meeting statutory requirements. Future meeting goals were discussed, including strategic planning finalization, the 2016 Report Document Outline, legislative updates and impacts, housing programs updates, a Veterans Information System Update, and a Veterans Advocacy Program Update.
