The MRC du Domaine-du-Roy's MADA policy and action plan for 2022-2025 is designed to enhance the quality of life for its aging population. It was developed through extensive consultation with over 600 seniors. The plan is guided by five key orientations: promoting aging in place, encouraging active and collective mobility, creating environments for healthy lifestyles, adapting to the evolving context of aging, and ensuring policy coherence. These orientations are implemented through nine fields of action, including outdoor spaces and buildings, transportation and mobility, housing and living environments, leisure and healthy habits, social participation, respect and inclusion, communication and information, safety, and health and social services. The overarching goal is to create supportive, safe, and active age-friendly environments across the territory.
