This document outlines the Recreation & Playground Master Plan for the Municipality of Greenstone, intended to guide the provision and support of recreation services over a ten-year period. The plan's vision is to foster quality of life through accessible, economically sustainable recreation opportunities, aiming to inspire health and wellness, foster community vibrancy, and build recreation capacity. The Municipality of Greenstone is undertaking a comprehensive Waste Management Environmental Assessment to develop a long-term Master Plan for solid waste management. Driven by current landfill capacity limitations, the multi-round process involves evaluating diverse waste management systems, including waste diversion, transfer stations, thermal/biological processing, and landfill options, alongside rigorous site selection. Key strategic priorities encompass waste diversion, water protection, operational efficiency, local accessibility, and stringent monitoring, with the assessment report anticipated for completion in 2025.
