This strategic plan outlines the direction for Goochland County Public Schools, aiming to inspire and prepare the next generation to make a positive impact by maximizing the potential of every learner. Guided by core values of Excellence, Creativity, Courage, Honor, and Optimism, the plan focuses on four key goals: maximizing student potential for successful lives, creating an engaging and empowering school community, ensuring operational support for instructional needs, and maintaining the safety and security of the school community.

The meeting began with organizational matters, including the election of Ms. Moses as Chair, Mrs. Robinson as Vice Chair, and the appointment of the School Board Clerk and FOIA Officer. The Board approved the Superintendent's Designees, agents for financial matters, and the CY2026 Meeting Schedule. Board representatives were appointed for various bodies, including the Maggie L. The sole action item was the approval of the 2025-2026 GCPS Crisis Plan. The meeting concluded with another closed session to discuss the performance of the superintendent, followed by reconvening into open session and adjournment.
