The Board addressed various operational and educational matters, including closed session legal and labor negotiation items. Key agenda items included the adoption of resolutions recognizing the Week of the School Administrator and certifying instructional materials. The Board also reviewed the Superintendent's report regarding the Chiquita Canyon Landfill, approved numerous independent contractor agreements and educational program funding applications, and authorized a proposal for developer fee consulting services. Additionally, the Board received and opened proposals from the California School Employees Association.

The Governing Board meeting covered a wide range of administrative and educational items. Notable topics included the recognition of student, volunteer, and employee achievements; a principal's presentation on school activities; and reports on the Chiquita Canyon Landfill, Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), and transportation services. The Board addressed public concerns regarding school evacuation procedures during the Hughes Fire. Numerous action items were approved, including facility maintenance and cleaning contracts, school calendars for 2025-2027, the approval of several job descriptions and salary schedules, an architectural services pool for a bond measure, and various service agreements for student programs, educational software, and facility upgrades.

The Governing Board held a special meeting to address and approve updated job descriptions for several positions, including Elementary School Principal, Middle School Principal, Assistant Principal, and Executive Assistant to the Superintendent.

The Board of Trustees held a meeting involving multiple administrative, operational, and financial actions. Key discussions and actions included recognizing district office and preschool staff, receiving a report on early childhood education programs, and hearing updates from the Teachers Association. The Board addressed several action items, including adopting compensation for a board member, approving the disposal of surplus materials, updating independent contractor agreements, and renewing an online platform contract. Additionally, the Board approved the 1st interim budget report, authorized various facility construction and repair contracts including roofing projects, and discussed payroll, school modernization, transportation services, and local landfill matters.

The Board conducted an organizational meeting where it elected officers for the coming year, including the President, Clerk, and presiding officer for absences. The Board also designated the Superintendent as Secretary, selected a representative for the County Committee on School District Organization, and assigned a representative to the Special Education Liaison Committee. Following reorganization, the Board approved the annual consent calendar, which included adopting district policies, certifying signatures for various fiscal and administrative documents, and authorizing payroll deductions and travel reimbursements. Additionally, the Board approved the 2026 calendar of school board meetings, agreements for artist residency workshops and expanded learning program classes, and a resolution to withdraw from the Schools Excess Liability Fund Joint Powers Authority. The Board also briefly adjourned to hold a meeting of the School Facilities Corporation Board of Directors to appoint trustees.
