The Organizational Meeting included the appointment of various town positions and their salaries for 2018, such as Deputy Town Supervisor, Budget Officer, Bookkeeper to Supervisor, Registrar of Vital Statistics, Town Historian, and Town Attorney. Additionally, salaries for non-competitive positions like Dog Control Officer, Building/Zoning Administrator, and Town Custodian were appointed. The official newspaper and banks for the town were designated. Resolutions were adopted, covering topics such as authorizing the Supervisor to invest idle funds, setting monthly meeting dates, adopting a contributory retirement plan, confirming elected positions' rates of pay, establishing the Assessor's yearly salary, setting spending limits for the Highway Superintendent, establishing petty cash funds, authorizing payment for Board of Assessment Review members, and establishing mileage rates for official town business. The meeting also involved reaffirming the town's adopted Procurement, Ethics, Sexual Harassment, and Investment Policy, as well as establishing pay scales for part-time Highway employees and outlining policies for sick leave and vacation leave.

The Town Board meeting included a presentation by AMSURE regarding the town's insurance premium for 2018/2019. The board also discussed and adopted Local Law #2 of 2018, which pertains to civil actions against the town or highway superintendent regarding roads. Additionally, the board addressed a grant request from the Justice Court for office equipment and approved a transfer for the purchase of a loader. The Supervisor's financial report for July 2018 was reviewed and approved.

The public hearing was called to order to discuss the proposed 2016 Town Budget. The budget adheres to the tax cap of 2%, using the lower inflation rate of .73%. Salaries were limited to a 1.5% increase for appointed and full-time elected officials, with no increase for Town Board Members, the Supervisor, and the Town Attorney. The budgets for the Bacon Hill Fire Protection District and the Gansevoort Sewer District remained the same as in 2015, while the Moreau Emergency Squad and the General Schuyler Emergency Squad saw a .73% increase. Concerns were raised regarding the Attorney Contractual line, Personal Services/Planning allocations, and high Medical Insurance disbursements. The hearing was then adjourned.

The meeting included a discussion on changing the date of the September Town Board Meeting due to the Primary Election. The board discussed cleaning the carpets in the Town Hall and authorized obtaining quotes for the service. A resolution was passed to install a "Stop" sign at the intersection of French Meadows and Peaceful Lane. The board agreed to enter into a power purchase agreement for electric with other Saratoga, Rensselaer and Albany County Towns and Villages. The purchase of a new wheel loader for the Highway Department was approved. The board approved a transfer to increase the Highway Budget and decrease the General Budget. The board approved vouchers for payment and reviewed and approved the June 2018 Monthly Report by Supervisor Willard Peck. The board also went into an executive session to discuss a personnel matter.

The meeting included discussions and actions on several topics. A Narcan training event was authorized at the Town Hall. The board reviewed and discussed the Stone Bridge Road and Purinton Road intersection study, deciding to increase signage but not make it a four-way stop. A resolution was introduced regarding days worked for the New York State Retirement System. The board also authorized a letter of support for ReBuilding Together Saratoga County. A public hearing was scheduled for a local law repealing and replacing the Town's Notification of Defects Law. The purchase of an Electronic Speed Monitoring Device was considered. The board addressed a Notice of Petition regarding property assessment. Vouchers for payment were approved. Sarah Mojer was reappointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals. An executive session was held to discuss personnel matters, resulting in the appointment of a new Court Clerk.
