The Village of Iola's regular meeting on June 13th, 2022, includes a public hearing for liquor and operator's licenses, considerations for temporary licenses for the Iola Old Car Show and 4th of July fireworks, and alcohol beverage license renewals. The board will also discuss a CMAR report for the water treatment plant, a potential line of credit, library refinancing, and bond refunding. Other agenda items include updates on various committees, including police, personnel, public property, parks, sewer and water, and the library.

The Iola Village Board's regular meeting on January 9th, 2023, includes discussions on selling a Sunset Drive parcel, a new village mission statement, employee handbook amendments (bereavement and holiday leave), building permit rate adjustments, internet/email security, a new community center sign, and camera installation in Village Hall. Other agenda items involve appointing a liaison for the building inspector, election officials, and addressing snow removal rate increases. Finally, the board will review committee reports, public presentations, and potentially enter a closed session.

The Iola Village Zoning Committee meeting of January 19th, 2022, addressed two main topics. The first involved a property exchange between the Iola Old Car Show and a private owner, with a request for annexation by the Village. This matter was postponed for further discussion. The second involved LCC Telecom's request to replace equipment on their tower; the committee determined no permit was needed due to no changes in height or width.

The Village of Iola Finance Committee held several meetings in January and February 2022 to discuss debt refinancing proposals. They reviewed proposals from Ehlers, Bank First, and the International Bank of Amherst, comparing interest rates and repayment terms. After careful consideration, the committee decided to move forward with the International Bank of Amherst's proposal, which offered a 2.75 percent or 2.625 percent interest rate depending on maintaining a deposit account with the bank.

The Community Development Authority meeting of July 26, 2023, was held at the Iola Village Hall. The main topic was a motion to lend money to the Village of Iola for the demolition of a property at 430 North Main Street, with repayment upon receipt of funds from the property owner. Discussion also included plans for "Welcome to Iola" signs, pending contact with the Department of Transportation. The meeting adjourned at 5:11 PM.
