The goals are set to guide the organization's direction.

This three-year technology plan for Forsyth County Schools, spanning FY 2025-2028, outlines the strategic integration of technology to enhance learning and support system-level initiatives. It prioritizes ease of access to digital resources, personalized and differentiated instruction, fostering critical 21st-century skills (the 'Six C's'), relevant professional development, and a transformational blended learning model. The plan also addresses technology infrastructure, digital tools, school-based support, parent and community connections, digital citizenship, and future technology initiatives like Artificial Intelligence.

The meeting included actions taken immediately following an executive session, specifically the approval of personnel items B 1-4 and C 1-4. The session also featured several recognition segments. Recognitions included the presentation of the Health Services Hero Award to a fifth-grade student, Judy Sabino Guzman (accepted by staff member Shelby Campbell), for life-saving actions during a medical emergency, and the recognition of staff member Shelby Campbell for her response. Achievements were highlighted, such as Pragathi Katuni Akula from South Forsyth High School earning first place in biochemistry at the 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair. Further recognitions honored the North Forsyth High School peer mediation team for winning the 2025 international online tournament. Employee of the Month, Mrs. Rhonda Woodall, bookkeeper at Silver City Elementary, was celebrated for her dedication and service. The alumni spotlight featured Mr. Joey Perle, who shared reflections on setting goals and the positive impact of Forsyth County Schools on his career as an educator. Finally, Lakeside Middle School was featured in the superior spotlight, highlighting their commitment to student success through initiatives like the 'Lake life way' matrix, PBIS reward system, the 'you belong' campaign emphasizing diversity and inclusion, and various connectivity programs like Dice Week and Munchkin Monday.

The meeting commenced with exiting executive session, followed by the approval of personnel actions covering categories A, B, and C. A significant portion of the meeting involved recognitions for various schools and personnel. Eleven schools received recognition from the Georgia Department of Education for outstanding implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for the 2024-2025 school year, noted for sustained success in reducing discipline referrals. Specific recognized schools included Chattahoochee, Mashburn Elementary, New Hope Elementary, Sonnie Elementary, Silver City Elementary, Whitlo Elementary, Liberty Middle, Piney Grove Middle, Riverwatch Middle, and South Forsyth Middle. Lori Benson from Pools Mill Elementary was recognized as the first Forsyth County Schools employee of the month for her dedication as a pair professional. Additionally, Dave's Creek Elementary presented a spotlight on their journey toward STEM certification, highlighting initiatives such as a schoolwide readaloud centered on 'The World According to Humphrey,' STEM day activities connecting literature to science, a new podcasting project funded by a grant, and the integration of 3D printing and robotics throughout the curriculum.
