This document outlines the County of Paintearth's Strategic Plan, which was reviewed and amended on February 2, 2021. The updated plan reflects adjustments made due to COVID-19 and current fiscal realities, leading to the removal of some objectives and the postponement of long-range infrastructure and financial studies. The current Council is focused on completing the remaining objectives, while the incoming Council will establish a new four-year strategic plan.

The County Council discussed several administrative reports including environmental services, development, and public works. Key business items addressed included the establishment of a reserve bid and terms of sale for a tax recovery parcel, various sponsorship requests for community programs and sports teams, the review of library financial statements, and the adoption of a new Privacy Management Program. Additionally, the council reviewed a budget report, considered bylaw readings for water and sewage, and engaged in discussions regarding doctor recruitment housing.

The council meeting addressed various administrative and operational reports, including updates from Corporate Services, Environmental Services, Public Works, and the Development Officer. Key discussion items included the procurement of a Brownfield storage tank, a donation request for the Coronation Community Centre, and a recreation and community service grant for youth sports championships. Additionally, the council moved to amend the Water and Sewage Bylaw regarding consumption rates, reviewed financial statements and correspondence, and held discussions concerning infrastructure projects and land use applications.

The council meeting addressed operational and financial matters including the strychnine distribution program, rock picking progress, and roadside spraying preparations under Environmental Services. The Development Officer provided updates on new planning applications, sign replacements, and campground preparations. The council discussed and considered the cancellation of a 2026 tax levy for county-acquired land, specifically addressing a closed road allowance, in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
