The meeting included an update on the shared Veteran Service Officer position for Ramsey, Benson, and Nelson Counties, and a discussion regarding water encroachment concerns on County Road 2 and 22. The Commission authorized advertising for bids for a motor grader trade-in and purchase. Additional topics included a discussion on the 911 Coordinator position, the approval of a tax abatement for parcel 08-0000-01836-700, and portfolio updates from Commissioners. A directive was issued to gather information from other counties concerning wind power and data center ordinances, followed by the approval of pending bills.

The meeting was held as an informational session to discuss dispatching services provided by the State Emergency Communications Center. The director of the State Emergency Communications Center presented information regarding the facility and state-operated 911 dispatching systems to commission members and local emergency service representatives. No official actions were taken during the meeting.

The Commission held a public hearing regarding the Clara Bartlett 2026 Snag & Clear project. Following the hearing, the Commission voted unanimously to sign and approve the project.

The Commission discussed Road and Bridge business with the Highway Superintendent, received an engineering update, and addressed the 911 Coordinator position, for which a 2027 budget outline was requested. Furthermore, the Commission approved a funding agreement for Clerk of District Court services and authorized a letter to the North Dakota Department of Water Resources regarding the continued operation of the Devils Lake Outlets. The session concluded with updates on commissioner portfolios and the approval of bills.

The Commission reviewed the 2025 cost breakdown for the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center and E911 Dispatching. A formal notice regarding the withdrawal of Nelson County from the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center, effective at the end of 2026, was discussed and approved.
