This document outlines the new mission, vision, and priorities of Sabine Parish Schools, developed through a three-year process involving research, stakeholder input, and data analysis. It reflects a commitment to equity, academic excellence, and opportunity, aiming to empower every student for success. Key priorities include a renewed vision, excellent instruction, fostering thriving students, and building a thriving team.

The new mission and vision for Sabine Parish Schools focuses on building a stronger community by empowering every student for success through equity, academic excellence, and opportunity. Key priorities include renewing the district-wide vision, fostering excellent instruction, creating thriving students through culturally responsive environments, and building high-performing teams. The plan emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to challenge and develop the whole child in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment, fostering leadership and life skills to produce productive citizens.

The meeting included approvals for out-of-state field trips for PHHS students to attend basketball team camps in Texas and Arkansas, as well as for NHS students to attend a bass fishing tournament in Oklahoma. The board also approved the Super App 2024-2025 Budget Amendment #5. Additionally, the board considered and approved the 2025-2026 SY Food Service Bids, a resolution for the issuance and sale of Sales Tax Bonds, Series 2025, and the modified Salary Schedule for the Special Projects Maintenance Worker, along with the SPSB Salary Schedule revision. The Superintendent's Report was also presented.

The Sabine Parish Universal Preschool (SPUP) School Readiness Plan is designed to guide efforts toward positive child outcomes, supported by ongoing communications, trainings, and professional development. It focuses on ensuring children are ready for school by fostering physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. The plan emphasizes the importance of families in supporting children's learning and involves delivering responsive, research-based curriculum, analyzing program data, and implementing strategic professional development and program adjustments to continually improve School Readiness Outcomes.

The board meeting included discussions and approvals on several key areas. Out-of-state field trips for Many High School and Zwolle High School were approved, along with the termination of a Food Service Technician. The Early Childhood Community Network Pilot revisions and the Education Excellence Fund (EEF) and Carl Perkins Career and Technical Grant were also approved. Additionally, the board reviewed revised policies and approved out-of-state travel for Converse High School students to attend the National FFA Convention. A resolution was approved to call a special election in Many School District No. 34 for a special tax levy. The board also approved the Revised Sabine Parish Schools coaching Supplement Schedule, CECP Salary Schedule and Coaching Guidelines, the 2014-2015 IAL Grant and Budget, the Legacy IAL Project Coordinator Job Description, and the Administrative Personnel Contracts. Discussions were held regarding an investment policy and OGB Health Insurance changes.
