The resolution addresses amendments to the Nassau County Conservation Lands Acquisition and Management (CLAM) Manual and Conservation Plan. The meeting is about West Side Regional Park. The team will discuss the process, findings from the past and current findings, and the meaning of those findings. The team wants to hear from the public and will spend the bulk of the time going through a few questions related to the findings based on a survey that was recently closed. The foundational work that's been done in the past will be touched on, and the survey findings will be discussed. The team will be able to turn the stakeholder meetings and feedback bullet gray. All of this will culminate into a pretty good profile of the park along with those findings that will yield to goals and objectives that will carry through for the entire master plan, a conceptual plan for the park, and then all of that will culminate into construction documents and permitting and then the great thing at the very end where we actually construct the park and you will be out there using it.

The meeting discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the library system, including a reduction in state aid. Vacancies were addressed, with the assistant library director position being the only current vacancy. The e-rate application for 1920 was funded, and a reimbursement was filed. Plans for revising the long-range plan were set in motion, including the setup of focus groups. The Amelia Island Book Festival was canceled due to COVID-19, but adult author talks were conducted virtually. A new project involving library lockers for material pickup was introduced, along with a book return at the James Page building. The library system's new software, Polaris, was installed, and online library cards are now available. Credit card readers have been installed and are operational. Hybrid programming, including both Zoom/YouTube events and in-person story times, has commenced. Summer reading registration is open, and incentive bags are available. An agreement with Yuli at the college was discussed, with plans to expand hours in the fall. The Yuli branch reported increased traffic and the successful launch of a seed lending library.

The meeting is about the Orange Avenue Trail, specifically the Summer Woods Enclave Trail. The discussion includes the history of the project, a technical presentation, and a review of frequently asked questions. Key topics include the possibility of a conservation easement to ensure the property remains in preservation, and options for Sable Palm Road, including emergency access only, full access, or dedication as a bicycle and pedestrian-only access with bollards.

The annual meeting included a review of the treasurer's report, which indicated a tough financial year in 2020 but a better-than-expected outcome, with a loss of $16,000 but a total available cash of approximately $238,000. The slate of the 2021 board of directors was presented and approved.
