The meeting commenced with a recognition of a student performance. Key discussions involved numerous personnel actions, including the permanent appointment of several individuals to positions such as heavy equipment mechanic, senior typist, golf course mechanic, and the recognition of an employee reaching permanent status as vehicle maintenance supervisor. Several resolutions were adopted concerning contracts and bids: awarding bids for fencing replacement at the Crown Prine House Historical Arts and Cultural Center, water valve maintenance skid system for DPW, chlorination equipment maintenance, and industrial chemicals procurement. The board also approved an hour adjustment for MIS department positions, authorized expenditure from the insurance reserve fund for legal fees, approved an open development area, authorized agreements for electric vehicle outlet installation, a collective bargaining agreement with the police benevolent association, and professional engineering services for Townwide Surveying. Furthermore, new water usage rates and fees were established, and agreements were executed for timber valuation, insurance brokerage services, and providing a town police officer as a School Resource Officer. Resolutions also addressed accepting the dedication of Verplank Lane as town highway, establishing employee payment schedules and holidays, and affirming the town investment policy and adopting investment policies/procedures for the service award program. Finally, authorization was granted for budget transfers that do not increase the overall budget prior to full board authorization in 2026, and the authorization of mileage allowances and per diem rates for town travel policy.

Additionally, the board discussed entering into facility use agreements for the municipal training center and authorizing the director of purchasing to advertise for bids for goods and services. Resolutions were also passed to authorize the supervisor or director of purchasing to execute vendor credit applications and tax exemption certifications, to authorize a payment for property damage, to secure builder risk insurance coverage for town projects, to approve the appointment of a deputy town clerk, and to appoint a member to the library board of trustees. Public hearings were held regarding the annual estimate of construction expense for the sewer improvement area and the preliminary budget for the fiscal year 2026.
