The Fire and Police Commission scheduled a meeting to consider and act upon several agenda items. Key topics included discussing the progress of probationary employees nearing the end of their probationary period, with a vote on permanent appointment or dismissal pending (potentially in executive session), and discussing the status of open positions for both the Fire and Police Departments. The commission also planned to review dates for Police Promotional Lieutenant Testing.

The meeting included discussions regarding probationary employees, with votes for the permanent appointment of Erik N. Wachal and Corey N. Eldridge to the rank of Police Officer. The status of open positions for both the Fire and Police Departments was reviewed. The commission discussed Firefighter/Paramedic Original Appointment Testing, including oral interviews. The Commission anonymously voted to amend the Fire and Police Rules and Regulations. The Commission also discussed making the Police Roster and Photos for the Police Department. Requirements were changed to include one year of service as a Sergeant following the probationary period to take the Lieutenant Promotional exam, and the written exam score was lowered to 70% for Lieutenant Promotional testing.

Committee reports highlighted the display for the Car Show, another interview conducted via Zoom, and a suggestion to clean or replace the flag. Preparations are underway for the 250th Anniversary, Spring Cemetery Walk, and 7th Graders visiting the Historical Society. A meeting with Edens Cemetery occurred on July 22nd, and a visit to the cemetery was suggested either the week before or after Memorial Day Weekend.
