The committee also discussed a potential promotional rewards program for local car dealerships, noting that implementation will be delayed due to current low vehicle inventories. Staff were directed to initiate negotiations for the redevelopment agreement and to consult with dealerships regarding the future viability of the promotional program.

Key objectives include building a complete and connected network, fostering an institutional environment for active transportation, and encouraging community participation. The vision is for Countryside to have a safe, well-lit network linking schools, parks, and businesses, making active transportation a viable and enjoyable option for all ages, with a target for half of all local trips to be car-free by 2025.
