The committee reviewed and approved Innovation Funding Proposals for Windrows, Solorio, and Day Creek Intermediate, Caryn, Golden, and Lightfoot. A session focused on Navigating Artificial Intelligence (AI) included definitions, demonstrations of staff usage, and outlining potential benefits and challenges for students and schools, with district focus areas including drafting guidance and planning staff development. Small group discussions generated ideas for Black History Month, which will be compiled into a Choice Board of activities for all schools. Members were invited to be recognized at the January 22, 2026, Board Meeting.

This plan provides an overview of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), a three-year strategy for improving student outcomes. It is structured around four primary goals: ensuring optimal conditions for learning, fostering positive student outcomes, enhancing student engagement, and promoting robust family engagement. The plan aims to maintain educational excellence by providing safe facilities, culturally responsive instruction, targeted support for diverse student groups, fostering a positive school climate, supporting social-emotional development, and building strong partnerships with families and the community.

Training and information reviewed the advisory committee's purpose regarding programs for students of limited English, including analyzing achievement data and participating in Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) development. Officers were elected for Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Secretary. Presentations included an overview of the new Literacy Screener Assessment- Multitudes, a data report on multilingual learners districtwide with a goal to prevent LTELs from advancing to high school, details on Title 1 support and Student Success Coaches, a review of LCAP survey results, and information on Master Plan Development. The meeting concluded with a sharing of student reclassification celebration pictures.

The LCAP Advisory Committee meeting included a team builder activity called "Four Corners". Key discussions involved a review and overview of the District's Goals and Actions, with committee members participating in an activity to align actions with school sites. The session also included an analysis of input from the Annual Feedback Survey used to determine district priorities and monitor LCAP progress. Furthermore, there was an overview of the Student Engagement Advisory Committee (SEAC) to incorporate student perspectives, and a presentation of the 2025 CAASPP results showing year-to-year changes in standards met or exceeded.
