Additionally, the Board ratified a Master Contract Negotiated Agreement with the Yankton Education Association, which includes a 2.5% pay increase for the 2026-27 school year, and approved various employment contracts and supplemental assignments for the district staff.

The Board approved the consent agenda, which included reports, cash balances, and financial claims for various funds. Additionally, the Board approved work agreements for new staff members, accepted multiple staff retirements and resignations, and reviewed a leave request. The Board authorized procurement methods for high school building carpet and middle school lockers, accepted a bid for the high school loading dock reconstruction project, and authorized the advertisement for bids for painting services at Lincoln Elementary School.

The board considered and approved claims against the district for the month, including payments for supplies, services, and facility maintenance across multiple funds, including Esser II, Esser III, Concessions, School Food, and Trust and Agency. Additionally, the board approved expenditures for commercial card transactions and imprest fund items, as well as architectural and engineering services for the Early Childhood building project.

The School Board reviewed and approved comprehensive financial reports, including cash balances and fund revenues. The board authorized numerous district claims and expenses across several funds, including the General Fund, Capital Outlay, Special Education, and School Food Service. Additionally, the board approved new teacher contracts, various work agreements and amendments, and accepted several resignations. Other business included authorizing participation in school nutrition programs, setting adult meal prices, approving student teacher agreements with Mount Marty University and the University of South Dakota, and renewing a facility use agreement for gymnastics.
