This document presents the mission statement for the Johnston Community School District. The core purpose is to serve the community by utilizing district resources to educate and support all students, enabling them to graduate as confident learners.

The board meeting covers the 2024/25 Enrollment and Capacity Analysis Summary and the Boundary Analysis Process Foundation. The board will review and approve guiding principles and prioritize boundary criteria. The nine boundary criteria are: Boundary Natural Features, Demographic Considerations, Duration of Boundaries, Fiscal Considerations (Capital Costs), Fiscal Considerations (Operational Cost), Neighborhoods Intact, Projected Enrollment/Building Utilization, Students Impacted by Boundary Change, and Transportation Considerations.

It focuses on collaboration, communication, academic excellence, results-oriented growth, and support among stakeholders. The plan aims to establish the Johnston Community School District as a leading educational institution, emphasizing high-quality instruction, superior student achievement, progress, and growth through forward-thinking practices and community partnerships. It also addresses student well-being, engagement, family communication, and staff support, ensuring equitable access to resources and a positive, inclusive school environment.
