Cozad Community Schools aims to help individuals reach their full potential by creating a supportive learning environment that maximizes academic growth through research-based curriculum and instruction. It focuses on growing and maintaining a culture where stakeholders are connected to the district's vision and mission, ensuring they feel informed, heard, and valued. The plan includes building-level goals for Cozad Elementary School (CES), Cozad Middle School (CMS), Cozad High School (CHS), and Cozad Early Education Center (CEEC), each targeting specific improvements in academic performance, behavior, social-emotional learning, and kindergarten readiness.

Cozad Community Schools, in partnership with family and community, prepares students to be successful lifelong learners through quality education. The vision is Cozad Creates Success, embodying the #HaymakerWay.

Cozad Elementary School's strategic goals focus on improving academic performance in math and reading, as well as enhancing school culture. Academically, the school aims to have at least 70% of students meet their expected growth targets using Fastbridge and NSCAS assessments, emphasizing student ownership in learning. To achieve this, the school will adopt high-quality curriculum resources, conduct regular MTSS team meetings and weekly PLCs, and implement new reading and math interventions. Culturally, the school is committed to reducing behavior incidents through relationship-driven approaches involving staff, students, and parents, utilizing triage time, counseling, and guidance lessons. Collaboration with students and parents is prioritized, with Educlimber providing data for incident analysis.

The 2020-2024 Strategic Plan for Cozad Community Schools focuses on six guiding principles: Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Instruction, Curriculum, and Learning; Student-Centered Learning; Culture and Connectedness; Personnel Effectiveness; and District Resources. The plan aims to improve communication and collaboration among staff, parents, and the community; enhance curriculum and instruction to prepare students for success; create a student-centered learning environment; foster a positive school culture; support and develop effective personnel; and ensure efficient and responsible use of district resources. The plan outlines specific objectives, strategies, and performance indicators to measure progress and achieve these goals.
