This document presents the City of Iowa Colony's proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026, which also serves as a strategic plan to build a strong foundation for the city's future. The strategic approach emphasizes responsible growth, enhanced community resilience, and operational excellence, aiming to improve the quality of life for residents through investments in infrastructure, public services, and community priorities.

The board addressed several key items, including a report on the sale of bonds, approval of a Developer Reimbursement Audit, and authorization for payment to the developer. They also authorized the engagement of Whitley Penn for the 2020 audit and approved the financials and invoices since the June 18, 2020 meeting. An update on the Meridiana development was presented, highlighting ongoing development and strong sales. The City has assumed the maintenance of the park.

The work session included discussions on the FY 2023-24 budget calendar and HOA-provided landscape maintenance in certain subdivisions. The council discussed the specifics of "lawn maintenance" as defined in a PUD amendment, addressing concerns about the quality of work and lack of resident choice regarding the service. The need for clarifying the scope of the maintenance and potential legal implications of PUD changes were also noted.
