The board discussed and took action on the approval of the Red Lion in Force/Layoff Avoidance Plan for Louisiana Delta Community College due to an appropriation reduction of $1 million for fiscal year 2012-2013. The plan includes moving 12-month faculty to 9-month positions, affecting 51 unclassified employees, to avoid a deficit in the appropriation budget and prevent layoffs.
