The Board addressed several operational and financial items. The board approved personnel reports, an Early Head Start grant, and partnerships with Victory Electric, the City of Dodge City, and the local YMCA for pool renovations. Additionally, the board approved the renewal of educational software, the purchase of custodial and paper supplies, band and orchestra instrument bids, and a medical insurance proposal. Further actions included authorization for network equipment upgrades, licensing and support, and the approval of an adjustment to the classified salary schedule.

The District Strategic Action Plan for Dodge City Public Schools aims to develop positive citizens prepared for college and careers through safe and individualized learning environments. The plan focuses on maintaining a sound fiscal position with transparency, fostering a safe, respectful, and welcoming learning environment, challenging every student through engaging instruction and personalized supports, and promoting a positive, engaging, and supportive work environment for all employees. The overall vision is to prepare students to be capable, contributing participants in a changing world.

The Board of Education discussed various agenda items, including the approval of a software renewal for ParentSquare, a list of overnight trip requests for Dodge City High School for the 2026-27 school year, and fundraising requests for several school organizations. Additionally, the Board reviewed various donation awards for school activities and equipment, including soccer goals for Central Elementary and classroom materials for Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Center. The Board also addressed personnel matters, administrative policy and procedure updates, and reviewed school district signage projects and insurance updates.
