The Planning Commission agenda includes a site plan review for the renovation of the existing church and sanctuary at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, as well as a sketch plat review for a proposed climate-controlled residential storage and office facility by Jaye Shirley.

The meeting included discussions and actions on several key items. A public hearing was held for the Lavinia Subdivision Preliminary Plat, followed by a motion to approve the preliminary plat with conditions related to water/sewer access and an aid to construction agreement. The commission approved a site plan for an elevated water tank by Riviera Utilities and another site plan for a self-service pet washing station. Additionally, the site plan for Wolf Bay Village (Phase 2) was approved, pending further review and completion of intersection improvements. An extension was granted for the Sandy Oaks Subdivision (Phase 1B) regarding the completion of a box culvert.

The workshop covered officer's reports from the Police Department, Fire Department/EMA, Public Works, and Administration. The Administration is working toward the Town acquiring a portion of the Brightspeed property for future park uses. The council discussed the hiring of a Fire Chief and the possibility of grant funding and creating a part-time Chief's position to strengthen the Fire Department. Other topics included updates on the library's reading program, plans for a Centennial wall, and a donation toward the Fireworks Show. The council approved moving forward with the building of a Pavilion at the Sportsplex, applying for a Safer Grant for the Fire Department, and approving the use of the park for the Benjamin T Werner Foundation Drug Awareness Day.

A preliminary plat phasing approval was granted for Moccasin Bayou, also known as Cross Creek, subject to specific conditions regarding a mailbox kiosk, turnarounds, sewer, and improvements to the County Rd. 20/83 intersection. Additionally, an amendment to the final plat of Lake Osprey Phase One was approved, involving the movement of lot lines between specified lots within a planned unit development.

The meeting included a public hearing regarding Sandy Oaks Phase 2, addressing concerns about runoff and access to an emergency gate. The Planning Commission considered and approved the Sandy Oaks Phase 2 Preliminary Plat, subject to revisions and utility agreements. Old business involved a request to allow more home building in Sandy Oaks Phase 1, which was approved with conditions related to the completion of the emergency access gate and infrastructure in Phase 2. New business included a discussion about a potential moratorium request for subdivisions due to infrastructure concerns. Reports covered the County Rd 20 and 83 intersection improvement, and public comments addressed issues related to Moccasin Bayou and Sandy Oaks.
