The event was the graduation ceremony for the Carl Albert State College class of 2015, which included over 500 graduates. Key segments included the recognition of special guests such as regional hookers, Senator Mark Allen, James Smith, and Trustee Harold Smith. Remarks were delivered to the graduates focusing on taking opportunities, remembering memories, and maintaining motivation for future endeavors. The ceremony included recognition for military service members (active duty, National Guard, Reserve, and memory students) wearing military honor cords. The Julian J Rothwell Award, presented by Mr. James Smith, was awarded to Hannah Franklin, who has maintained a 4.0 GPA and demonstrated significant leadership involvement. The event also featured a performance by the New Horizon Show Choir.

The meeting included discussions and possible actions on various topics such as the financial report, internal audit report, preliminary enrollment report, campus safety and security update, math pathways, Title IX policy and procedure, subcommittee reports, federal grant programs update, and the president's report. Additionally, there was consideration of bids and purchases for elevator repairs and replacements at the Deanna Reed Science and Math Center and the Mitchell Center. An executive session was convened to discuss employment, promotions/changes of status, resignations, terminations, and retirements.

The strategic plan for Carl Albert State College focuses on changing the brand association and perception of the college through marketing and communications. The plan aims to change perceptions among prospective students and parents, enhance the experience and satisfaction rate of current students, and internally brand the investible idea among faculty and staff to lead to a culture shift, personal growth and development, and personnel refocus. The investible idea, "Be exceptional. Be a Viking," is central to the campaign, influencing various aspects of the organization's operations, from hiring to facilities maintenance.

The strategic plan of the CASC Co-Curricular Program aims to provide students with a holistic experience by integrating learning opportunities outside the classroom. The plan focuses on complementing the academic curriculum and fostering student development and identity formation. Key goals include fostering a proactive approach to lifelong learning, providing interpersonal and intrapersonal engagement, and promoting civic and social responsibility. The plan also identifies four co-curricular learning and development dimensions: lifelong learning, self-directed learning & self-efficacy, civic and social responsibility, and leadership and teamwork.

The meeting agenda includes a financial report, internal audit report, CASC Development Foundation report, preliminary enrollment report, consideration of a land easement, building committee update, CASC Regents Subcommittee report (including long-term strategy), and the president's report. Other agenda items involve bids and purchases for a library roof replacement; consideration of retirements, resignations, and terminations of personnel; and consideration of new hires and changes in personnel status. New business and adjournment are also on the agenda.
