This document is a needs assessment for Jackson County Schools, designed to inform strategic planning and resource allocation for ESSER 3.0 funds. The plan aims to enhance instructional quality, provide targeted student support, strengthen the teaching workforce, and upgrade technology and facilities to address pandemic-exacerbated challenges and accelerate student achievement.

The Jackson County Board of Education convened to discuss several key items, including the final Change Order for the Jackson County Schools Safe Entrance Projects. The board reviewed and awarded bids for the GES/JCMS Painting Projects and the JCMS Security Fence Project. They also approved overnight trips for the JCHS Technology Student Association and the JCHS Girls and Boys Basketball Teams. Additionally, School Board Members reviewed Director Evaluation Scores and Maintenance Supervisor gave updates on projects. Principals gave updates on school activities and upcoming events. The Director's Report included ESSER Updates, approval of the 2024-2025 Rehire List, and acceptance of resignation and retirement letters.

Tenure was granted to two teachers, and the School Support Organization's Financial Report was reviewed. Fundraisers for the DBS AG Club and the Band Booster were approved, along with an overnight trip for the Jackson County Band.

Financial reports from multiple School Support Organizations were reviewed and approved. Updates were provided on ESSER projects, including a roof project progress report and the arrival of ESSER-funded buses. The board also accepted resignations, hired a new teacher, and approved a new substitute.
